Stone Brook Audio and MattJProductions (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operate this website, the Note Trainer app, the SBDelay plugin, and related studio services.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information across all of our products and services.

1. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to our website, the Note Trainer mobile app, the SBDelay plugin, and studio services and enquiries.

2. Note Trainer (App-Specific Policy)

Note Trainer is operated by MattJProductions. Note Trainer does not require you to create an account. We do not directly ask you to provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location in order to use the app.

The app may store certain information locally on your device so it can function properly, including:

On supported devices, Note Trainer may access device motion data to support gameplay or visual interaction. This motion data is processed on-device and is not stored on our servers by us.

We also use third-party SDK services, including Meta (Facebook) technologies, which may collect app activity and interaction events, purchase and subscription event data, device identifiers, and diagnostic or crash-related information. This information may be collected automatically, subject to platform permissions and device settings where applicable.

In-App Purchases

Note Trainer offers optional in-app purchases, including auto-renewable subscriptions and a one-time lifetime unlock. All payments and billing are handled by Apple, not by us. We do not receive your full payment card or billing details.

We may receive limited purchase-related information from Apple, such as whether a subscription or purchase is active, so the app can unlock paid features and restore purchases. We may also log successful purchase events through third-party measurement and analytics tools, including Meta.

How We Use App Information

We use information stored by the app to save settings and preferences, remember lesson completion and progress, store practice history and stats, and unlock paid features after purchase or restore.

We and our third-party service providers may use collected data to operate and improve the app, measure app performance and stability, understand feature usage, measure purchase events and subscription conversions, and support advertising attribution.

Tracking and Third-Party Services

Depending on your device, region, and app configuration, third-party services may use data collected from the app to help measure advertising performance or support tracking as defined by Apple. Where required by Apple, permission may be requested before tracking is allowed.

You can manage tracking-related permissions in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Data Sharing, Storage and Retention

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited data with Apple for in-app purchases, subscription management and purchase restoration, and Meta for analytics, app event measurement, conversion measurement and advertising attribution. These third parties process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Most app data such as preferences, progress and stats is stored locally on your device. It remains there until you delete the app, reset it through in-app options, or remove it through your device settings. Apple backups and data collected by third parties are subject to those providers’ own terms and retention practices.

Children’s Privacy and Your Choices

Note Trainer does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If third-party SDKs collect device or app event data automatically, that collection is governed by applicable platform permissions, device settings, and the privacy practices of those third parties.

You can stop using the app at any time, manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID, remove locally stored app data by deleting the app or using available reset options, and manage app tracking permissions in device settings.

When you use our website, we may collect information you provide, including your name, email address, and messages submitted via contact forms.

We may also collect browser type, device type, and pages visited automatically. We may use cookies to improve website functionality and analyse traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

4. SBDelay Plugin

SBDelay does not collect personal data directly and no user accounts are required. Payments and licensing may be handled by third-party platforms, and we may receive limited purchase confirmation data.

5. Studio Services

If you contact us for studio services such as production, mixing, or collaboration, we may collect your name, email, and project details. This information is used only to respond to enquiries and provide requested services.

6. How We Use Data (General)

Across our services, we may use data to respond to enquiries, provide support, improve products and services, measure performance and usage, and process purchases via third parties.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data. We may share data only when necessary with Apple, Meta, payment providers, and hosting or analytics services.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information using secure systems, limited access, and standard industry safeguards.
